It’s official and it’s huge! Santa Zeta, written and directed by Antonio Munoz de Mesa, has been selected for the Slamdance Film Festival 2026, the sacred temple of the world's most authentic and daring independent cinema. We’re not just in any section: we are competing in BREAKOUT, the category reserved for directors who, like Antonio Muñoz de Mesa, showcase a disruptive visual language and a narrative that asks for no permission.
This year, Slamdance leaves the snows of Utah to take over the heart of the industry: Los Angeles. We will be screening at legendary venues such as the Landmark Sunset cinemas and the DGA (Directors Guild of America). Being in the Breakouts section places us among the elite of global emerging talent, competing alongside productions from the Philippines, the USA, and the Dominican Republic.
The news has spread fast in the trade press. Major outlets like Variety and IndieWire have already covered this year's lineup, highlighting the strength of our entry.
